One of the older databases Oracle has been serving businesses for decades. But to get more out of your data analytics, it is essential to load data from the database Oracle to S3.

The question is why move to Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 (Simple Storage Services) and what more does it bring to the table?

Amazon S3is a recently-introduced (comparatively) cloud-based data warehousing solution and is ideal for Online Analytical Processing (OLAP). Applications are launched on S3 in two simple steps. An S3 cluster is initiated through API calls and then connected to an S3 instance through the AWS Management Console. S3 ensures a high level of data availability, scalability, performance, and storage and is one of the important motives for organizations wanting to move from Oracle to S3, a cloud-based object storage service.

Among the many advanced and user-friendly management features of S3 is the ability to backup, restore, and archive big data analytics, IoT devices, and enterprise applications.  Further, it can store almost unlimited applications and offers an astounding 99.999999999 (11 9’s) level of data durability. 

There are several ways that S3 increases the efficiency of Oracle databases. The most crucial is that there is a lowering of payouts to Oracle. Many businesses even opt to move the Oracle database entirely to S3. But the process to opt for should be evaluated thoroughly before moving the database Oracle to S3.
